4.1 released

Hello tees,

I just released v4.1! At the moment, it is available on Windows and Mac, I already asked someone to compile it for Linux, and the sources are available.

As something I did not tell you in the previous posts, I ported the whole personal statistics system from the 0.5.2 times, and after some epic bugs (client crashed on every CTF game ending), I re-uploaded a fixed version and everything should be all right. You’ll find most of the improvements I’ve been talking about those last days.

I’m already coding for 4.2 (hell, I just can’t stop). For now, not much is planned for this version, an in-game server browser like in the 0.5.2 versions will luckily be there, and maybe some announcers broadcast also.

I’m already thinking to some other improvements – such as server IP localization and maybe some IRC stuff, stay tuned!

Dunely Dune.

    Hei dune, i cant compile the version for Linux, i have a lot of errors on console and i have downloaded the package but into this package i see another directory named Gamer_4.1-src.

    You know what i have to do ?

    Have you the sources fixed for it ?

    Or maybe you have a patch for sources ?

    Thanks again.

  3. Hello,

    The sources for Linux have already been compiled (there’s a link in the first post).
    If you want to compile them on your own, well, it should work. Can you post a log of your errors?

    Dune.

    So, i download the package, i start compiling and he said “Error in bam.lua”, ok, it is normal because in the folder i haven’t the bam.lua, i have only some folder, no files.

    So i go on the “gamer4.1-src” folder and start compiling, the console said me something like the following lines:

    [ 24/146] #1 c++ src/engine/shared/packer.cpp
    g++: /wd4244: File o directory non esistente
    bam: ‘objs/engine/shared/packer.o’ error 256
    bam: ‘objs/engine/shared/packer.o’ removed because job updated it even it failed.
    [ 25/146] #1 c src/base/system.c
    gcc: /wd4244: File o directory non esistente
    bam: ‘objs/base/system.o’ error 256

    I have always compiled all the versions with my OS settings and library (g++ and gcc and bam-0.4.0)

    Have you an idea ?

    Thanks.

  5. Remove all the files in objs/ folder.
